Description
The Director of Facility Services will be responsible for management of all school facilities and grounds, to ensure they exemplify excellence in the categories of safety, health, appearance, capacity, effectiveness and cost efficiency. The Director is also responsible to ensure the staff they supervise has the necessary skillset and understanding of their roles, to be successful. This person will have the ability to demonstrate optimism in both expressive and receptive communication skills while developing sincere positive relationships with fellow employees and others. High moral standards and clear self-purpose will ensure success in meeting the mission and vision of the District.
Annual salary for this position is $101,258. Benefits per the Employee Handbook.
This position will directly supervise all maintenance personnel, courier, and Assistant Director of Facility Services. In coordination with the Assistant Director of Facility Services, this position also has oversight of all District custodians (permanent and substitute).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Local, state and federal laws related to site and facilities construction/operation/maintenance.
- Development of preventative and long-range facility’s maintenance floor plans.
- Construction management and supervision.
- Computer competency in Microsoft Office and Google platform.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be organized, flexible, prioritize and hold high expectations for quality in the workplace.
- Develop an understanding and use of equitable and culturally responsive practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
1. High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of advanced education in related field. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
2. Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in a custodian, maintenance and/or construction related field.
3. Certification in Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials Facility Manager Certification Program (WASBO). (Must be obtained within 2 years of employment)
4. Valid driver’s license.
