Description
An "Airman" is a member of an air force, performing a wide range of duties from hands-on technical tasks like aircraft maintenance, munitions handling, and fueling to administrative roles, security, medical support, and even the operation of aircraft systems. The specific job of an Airman varies significantly depending on their specialty, as they execute the core functions of airpower, including supporting air superiority, global strike, rapid global mobility, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and command and control. There are over 130 enlisted career fields in Air Force Active Duty. Active Duty requires you to travel and move to a different location, while Air Force National Guard and Air Force Reserve require you to travel for training but do not require you to move.
Requirements
You need to be 17+ years of age to start the enlistment process. Your recruiter will go through prequalification questions with you when you get in contact with them.
