Aviation Careers Education (ACE) Intern – WisDOT Bureau of Aeronautics (Internship)

Job Description: Interns are placed in a variety of jobs at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. Youth who are selected to participate will receive:
Mandatory pre-internship leadership training (paid)
An 8-week summer internship opportunity (40 hours per week)
Regular mentoring and support from the WisDOT Bureau of Aeronautics
Professional development training
An experience of a lifetime
Past positions have included marshalling airplanes, customer service at the airlines, I.T., refueling airplanes, Fire/Rescue, work at airport gift shops, various positions on an active military base, and others.
Work Location: Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (5300 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207); some positions nearby at the 128th Air Refueling Wing (on the airport).
The position includes an education component with free access to unique learning experiences on-site at the airport and at other locations.

Requirements
Requirements: The ACE program is designed to serve underrepresented Milwaukee Public Schools students. Participants must be minority students attending MPS with a current GPA of 2.0 or better and must pass a background check (required to work at the airport). Participants must be at least 16 years old by the start of the summer 2026 program
