Description
PFS TECO An NFPA Global Solutions Company is seeking an Entry-Level MOD Plan Reviewer to join our Manufactured Structures Division in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
This role supports the review of modular residential and commercial construction plans to verify compliance with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements. This position provides training and mentorship for an individual interested in developing technical expertise in building codes and modular construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in construction, engineering, architecture, or building inspection who wants to develop a long-term career working with the International Codes (IBC, IRC, IECC) and modular construction standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review modular construction plans, specifications, and engineering documents
- Assist in evaluating compliance with International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)
- Identify potential code compliance issues and assist in preparing plan review reports
- Communicate plan review findings with modular manufacturers and design professionals
- Maintain documentation related to plan reviews and code determinations
- Coordinate with internal inspection teams to support consistent application of codes and standards

Work Location
This position is in-person at our Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania office.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interest in building codes, construction, engineering, architecture, or related technical fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical documents and construction drawings
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, drafting, or related field
- Experience in construction, building inspection, drafting, or code enforcement
- Interest in obtaining International Code Council (ICC) certifications
