Description
Heartland Technology GroupDescription:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for providing support to the Quality Department. This includes conducting tests to validate product performance, performing audits to ensure quality processes are maintained and be the voice of the customer.
Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
- Reviewing product specifications to understand customer requirements
- Responsible for evaluating the physical and visual properties of the finished product to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Report deviations from standards to Production Supervisor and operator, documenting observations and corrective actions on retain samples and electronically in audit database. Place nonconforming products on hold as required.
- Performing all duties following standard procedures, safety requirements and calibration procedures.
- Responsible for accurate and thorough recording of all data and information related to quality.
- Responsible for the day-to-day working conditions in the lab. This includes, but is not limited to, cleanliness, orderliness, safety, routine maintenance, organization of samples, records, and files.
- Maintaining the sample retain system, Properly labeling and storing of retains and discarding out-of-date retains
- Assist Quality team with additional assignments or projects during slow production periods to maintain productivity and support overall department needs.
- Participate in root cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions.
- Train production team members on quality standards.
- Maintain professional and respectful working relationships with co-workers.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Preferred Experience:
- One 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
- One 1 year of experience with printing or converting.
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications required:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
- Maintain professional demeanor and positive quality mentality, at all times.
- Self-directed and personally motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Good team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Good attendance and performance track record.
Preferred Skills, Education and/or Certification required:
- Knowledge of basic quality principals.
