Description

Doral Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Specialist to provide on-site safety leadership across industrial and commercial construction projects in the Eastern U.S. This position supports our field operations to ensure compliance with OSHA, customer site requirements, and internal safety policies. The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional with strong fall protection expertise who can confidently train and mentor crews in safe work practices, equipment operation, and energy control.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site safety leader to support superintendents, foremen, and field teams in maintaining a safe work environment.
Conduct daily jobsite audits, hazard assessments, and safety coaching conversations.
Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and task planning/JSA reviews.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred 

Provide hands-on guidance and oversight for proper use of fall protection systems, including anchors, SRLs, harnesses, horizontal lifelines, ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms.
Train and/or certify employees in:

                    MEWP operation (ANSI A92)
                    Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck operation (OSHA 1910.178)
                    Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and energy control methods

Ensure compliance with Doral Corp Safety Programs, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 & 1926 requirements, and customer-specific safety policies.
Conduct incident investigations, root cause reviews, and corrective action follow-up as needed.
Assist with new hire orientations and ongoing site-based safety training.
Interface professionally with customer safety representatives and internal leadership.
Foster a positive, coaching-forward safety culture, balancing accountability and support.
