Description

From July 7 to July 31, interns work with local artists and fellow talented peers. Drawing inspiration from the Museum’s collection and feature exhibitions, interns work together to create a mural that positively addresses an issue in the city of Milwaukee. Interns also mentor elementary school students from Milwaukee Public Schools, leading tours through the collection and making art. The internship concludes with a special celebration where the completed mural is revealed and displayed on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus! Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

Be between the ages of 16–18 years old
Be in grade 11 or 12 for the 2026-2027 school year
Attend a Milwaukee-area high school
Send in a complete application
Pass a background check
Be available to attend the mandatory intern orientation
