About the Job
This is not a traditional internal HR role. As a Human Resources Consultant, you’ll partner with clients and fellow Cura Consultants to deliver exceptional HR programs, projects, and day-to-day support across a variety of organizations. You’ll navigate multiple HR disciplines, contribute to meaningful client outcomes, and apply your expertise in a fast-moving consulting environment, including:
Total rewards administration
Payroll administration
Performance management
Onboarding and offboarding
Policy development and compliance
HR operations and project execution
What to Expect
Our client needs are always evolving, and this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, adapts quickly, and is comfortable aligning their schedule with shifting project timelines. There will be a ramp-up period as you build familiarity with our clients, systems, and ways of working. Over time, your workload and focus may flex as client projects start, pause, and change direction, so success in this role requires both patience during onboarding and flexibility as priorities shift.
Role Snapshot
Location: Remote within Colorado; must be available for onsite client support in the Denver/Boulder metro area as needed.
Position Status: Full-time, flexible consulting role requiring consistent availability and the ability to adjust workload based on client project timing throughout the year.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Target Start Date: Q4 2026
What You’ll Do
Manage HR operational plans across multiple client engagements.
Design and implement people programs and practices.
Serve as a point of contact for end-to-end payroll processes, HRIS administration, unemployment claims, and workers’ compensation claims.
Build clear process guides to support ongoing HR management.
Administer total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, leaves, and open enrollment.
Ensure compliance with state and federal HR laws, including labor law poster updates, state final payroll requirements, and required reporting based on company size and industry.
Maintain accurate and compliant employee record keeping and assist with reporting and audits.
Facilitate and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientations, exit interviews, and termination deliverables.
Address and resolve general HR-related inquiries.
Support recruiting needs, including recruiting strategies, job descriptions, candidate screening, and hiring manager support.
Partner with leadership to assist with employee relations, investigations, and resolutions.
Track time accurately for client deliverables using Cura's tools and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of HR operations experience with the ability to leverage HR knowledge to develop effective client solutions.
Proactive problem-solving, collaboration, and a forward-thinking mindset.
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create quality client deliverables and interact with clients at all organizational levels.
Relationship builder with the ability to establish trust with clients and stakeholders.
Skilled in managing conflict and facilitating successful outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities with accuracy and compliant results in fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, Copilot, etc.), HRIS and payroll platforms with ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Perks & Benefits
Pay: $36.00–$39.00/hour ($74,880.00–$81,120.00 annually based on a 40-hour workweek) + on-target commission of $10,000–$12,000 annually.
