We are looking for a talented manufacturing engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.
This position will have an emphasis assisting the operations sales, and design engineering team providing tool design, DFM review, and preparing CAD files for manufacturing. They will also assist with pre-sale meeting and at times will be customer facing
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Design and create CAD models and assemblies from customer data
- Repair and manipulate CAD files for manufacturing
- Review all supplied documents and input into the ERP all necessary operations, materials, purchase components and outside processes.
- Review proposed ECOs/modifications on projects to evaluate and communicate impacts
- Work with Production supervisors and operators to address potential improvements in the methods developed for specific customer requirements.
- Project management. Drive efficiencies, CI initiatives and machine processing
- Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
- Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.
- Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
- Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
- Contribute to the development of new services, efficiency enhancement projects and the overall improvement of Fathom Manufacturing
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.
- Solidworks CAD experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Skillfully use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and/or SharePoint
- Strong analytical thinker.
