Messaging Coordinator, The Wisco Project
The Organization:
The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state. In 2026, we will seek to build on the work of previous cycles to run our strongest program yet and score progressive victories for students across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!
What Will You Do?
We are looking for a Messaging Coordinator to help guide and integrate messaging strategy across paid media, organic media, and on-the-ground organizing. The Coordinator will report to the Creative Director and should be a thoughtful strategic communicator who is passionate about crafting and delivering effective messages to students this Fall. The role has a planned start date of mid-summer and will run through 11/15/26. This position will be based in Madison, WI and requires a significant amount of in-person work. Supporter housing may be available.
The Messaging Coordinator will report to the Creative Director and will:
Help to set statewide messaging priorities and craft effective methods to implement them
Ensure cohesion in messaging across different platforms and programming types, include paid media, organic media, and on-the-ground organizing
Develop talking points and support organizing staff in effectively rolling them out to campus organizing teams
Assist in guiding rapid response and research projects
All other duties as assigned
Who Are You?
A successful candidate for this role will have:
At least 1-2 years of campaign or political experience, with a preference for candidates who have experience talking directly to voters
Demonstrated ability to craft strategic, effective messages. Professional communications experience preferred
Strong intuitive sense of what will resonate most strongly with Wisconsin students
Familiarity with Wisconsin elections and political environment
Experience working collaboratively across departments and working with external partners
Job Details: Compensation for this role is $6,000/month plus benefits. This is a full time role.
