The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce an open search for a faculty member in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. We are accepting applications for a clinical or tenure track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. This is a new position, and the successful applicant will join our team of four clinical track faculty members. 

How do the three tracks differ?  Here’s a brief summary:  

Clinical Track provides an excellent balance of three main responsibilities including clinical duty (~22 weeks/year of clinical service, supervision, and teaching), pre-clinical teaching, and research. 
Tenure Track is geared toward individuals prepared to lead an independent, extramurally funded research program. There would be up to 12 weeks of clinics/year and pre-clinical teaching responsibilities are similar to clinical track.
 
We moved into a gorgeous, newly built hospital in June 2024 and have recently begun offering extracorporeal therapies in this new hospital space. Our caseload is rapidly growing, and our diverse caseload provides excellent learning opportunities for our students and house officers. We have provided detailed information below regarding the history of our team, the positions, and the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine as a whole.
